Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish, half-English woman was born on 16 April 1997 in Miami Florida. Half English and half Spanish She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. Her father was an Argentine and has Scottish and English ancestral roots. The mother of her is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's prior marriage. The family was based at Buenos Aires until she was six, after which they moved to the Victoria neighborhood in London. According to Taylor-Joy the move was traumatic and she decided to not learn English with the intention of returning to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she needed to go to after switching from Northlands. After that, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she studied dance and performed in various productions. At 16, she left the school to pursue acting as a career. Taylor-Joy was an actress as a kid who was certain she would be an actor. She realized her dream after Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a position as a model.
